SanLink3 N1 utilizes the Marvell® AQtion AQN-107 and doesn't require additional drivers as macOS supports it natively. Additionally, being bus-powered, the SanLink3 N1 eliminates the need for a separate power cable.
To ensure compatibility with SANLink3 N1, follow these steps:
1. Check your operating system version and upgrade to OS 10.13.3 or newer if necessary.
2. Connect a Thunderbolt 3 cable between the Thunderbolt 3 port on your SANLink3 and a Thunderbolt 3 port on your Mac.
3. Connect an Ethernet cable (Cat 5e or better) from the NBASE-T Ethernet port on the SANLink3 to an Ethernet switch to establish a link to the SAN or Ethernet network.
Start using the device after completing these steps.
Note: The NBASE-T connection automatically negotiates link speed, or you can manually specify it. The NBASE-T port supports connection speeds of 100 Mbps, and 1.0, 2.5*, 5.0*, and 10 Gbps.
