To connect the legacy Pegasus1 or Pegasus2 chassis to an M1/M2/M3/M4 Mac system, you must use the original Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter.
Recommended Adapter:
- Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter
- Purchase Link from Apple Store: Apple Store - Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter
Compatibility Notes:
- Pegasus1 and Pegasus2 require this adapter for connection to modern Mac systems equipped with USB-C/Thunderbolt 3/4 ports.
- Pegasus3 , Pegasus M4, and Pegasus32 do not require an adapter. These models natively support Thunderbolt 3/4 connections.
Important Setup Steps:
-
Adapter Connection:
- Plug the Thunderbolt 2 cable from the Pegasus1/Pegasus2 into the Apple Adapter.
- Connect the USB-C end of the adapter into your Mac's Thunderbolt 3/4 port.
-
Power On the Pegasus Unit.
-
Check Connection:
- Open Mac System Information → Thunderbolt section.
- Confirm the Pegasus device is detected.
