Legacy Other New driver and/or BIOS makes PAM stop seeing the array
Ken Chou posted this 19 August 2005

Promise Array Management

Platform: Windows

Firmware/Bios Version: all

Additional Description: This happens only some of the time. Other times the old utility will be able to see the array after logging in.

Solution: It is recommended that a newer version of the PAM utility be installed when update is done to the BIOS and drivers. In addition, this will give the user the latest features and compatibility that the new utility affords.

Additional Information: Check the downloads for your product on the web at: www.promise.com

Then with mouse over the support option click on: "downloads" then the next page will have collumns for product, category and OS. Select what you are using and press "Go" to get the latest and even slightly older versions of the software you need.

Ultra Having problems using a DVD burner connected to Ultra 100TX2.

Product: Ultra100TX2

Platform: ALL

Firmware/Bios Version: ALL

Solution: DVD-BURNERS must be the master on the channel. Try setting jumpers, and playing with them because various models work differently, or move the burners to the onboard controller.
