Transporting a disk array to a different location in the same enclosure causes the array to remain in transport ready status.

Issue:

I have a 5 drive disk array and I tried to transport the array to a different location within the Vtrak enclosure.  After the move, the array remains offline and in transport ready status.  What am I doing wrong?  How do I recover my array?

This is what I did.

1. Created a 5 Drive Array (PD 1 - 5)

2. Put the array in transport ready status

3.  Remove PD 1 - 3 and inserted them into slots 7 - 9

Solution:

Transport is the action of moving the physical drives of a disk array:

 

·         To different slots in the same VTrak enclosure

·         From one VTrak enclosure to another

To fix and recover the array:

1. Remove Pd 1 - 5 from slots 7 - 11
