Installing the Pegasus R12 DEXT Driver for Thunderbolt Connection on macOS

The Pegasus R12 DEXT Driver must be installed before connecting the Pegasus R12 to the Thunderbolt port of your Mac with the Thunderbolt Cable. This driver supports macOS 12.4 or later.

Preliminary Check

  1. Verify macOS Version: Click on the Apple symbol in the upper left corner and select About This Mac to confirm your system meets the macOS 12.4 or later requirement.

Installation Steps

1. Download the Driver: Use the provided link.

2. Run the Installer:

  • Double-click the downloaded .pkg file.
  • Click Continue when the installer menu appears.

3. Standard Installation:

  • Click Install and enter your password to authorize.
  • If reinstalling, enter your password to modify the existing driver.

4. Enable Driver Extensions:

  • If prompted with Driver Extension Blocked, go to System Settings > Extensions > Driver Extensions.
  • Click Allow and confirm with your Mac password.

  • Enable the PegasusPro DEXT Driver Installer by entering your password again.

5. Complete Installation: Once you see a success message, click Close.

6. Verify Installation: Check for the DEXT Driver Installer in Applications or Mac Terminal.

Use either of these methods to confirm successful installation:

  • Method #1: PegasusPro DEXT Driver Installer

    • Go to Applications and double-click PegasusPro DEXT Driver Installer.
    • If installed, you’ll see an "Uninstall" option in the pop-up window.

  • Method #2: Mac Terminal

After rebooting, run the following command again (systemextensionsctl list | grep pegasus) to confirm the driver status says "activated enabled
