Follow these steps to resolve the SSL error encountered when using webPROe in Internet Explorer:
Introduction
- When starting the Promise Server for the first time and configuring RAID via webPROe, you may encounter an SSL error while accessing the web interface through the desktop shortcut or system IP address.
- To fix this issue, you need to install a trusted certificate for the server.

Installing the Certificate
1. Access the Webpage
- Click More Information on the SSL error screen.
- Select Go on to the WebPage (Not Recommended) to proceed.
2. View the Certificate
- On the browser's address bar, click the Certificate Error notification.
- Select View Certificate from the dropdown menu.
3. Install the Certificate
- Click Install Certificate in the certificate details window.
- Choose Local Machine and click Next.
4. Specify the Certificate Store
- Select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse.
- In the store selection window, choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK.
- Click Next and then Finish to complete the installation.
5. Restart the Browser
- Close Internet Explorer completely.
- Reopen webPROe from the desktop shortcut or IP address.
Outcome
The SSL error should no longer appear when accessing webPROe.
