An error may occure on the Promise VTrak E-Class after firmware update.
If you have the Promsie VTrak J-Class (JBOD) attached to a Promise VTrak E-Class and update the firmware, please remember to restart the Promise VTrak J-Class as well. Failing to restart the Promise VTrak J-Class will cause both Promise VTrak E-Class controllers to go into Maintence Mode.
The “event –l nvram” log will display an error such as this:
Ctrl 1 Critical Jan 26, 2009 12:29:25 Controller has entered maintenance mode due to incompatible component
