NOTE A-class volumes can only be reshared in OS X Mavericks (v10.9) and later by using SMB sharing. Prior versions of MacOS X do not support file sharing with VTrak A-Class.
In order to share an A-class volume in OS X Mavericks, you must first open the Sharing pane in System Preferences and then select the check box for File Sharing:
Then, under Shared Folders, select the “+” button. This will bring up a menu where you can add the A-class volume – which will be listed under Devices. In the example below, the A-class volume is named “FS1”:
Select the volume and then click “Add”. Your A-class volume will now be listed under Shared Folders:
