Before installing the Pegasus J2i, there is a retainer plate that needs removal prior to installation. After the retainer plate is removed, it must be installed back on to insure proper support of the Pegasus J2i.
This will require screwing the retainer plate back in place, after the J2i is mounted.  In order to remove the screws, you will require a T8H screw bit, you will not be able to unscrew the retainer plate without a T8H bit or driver. 

Please view the following steps below to make sure your J2i will fit completely in your Mac Pro 2019.

 

Simply screw the retaining plate back into place and close the lid. Next please connect the cables per the instruction provided in the quick install guide inside your Pegasus J2i accessory box.
