Checking the physical disks properties in the controller BIOS
Failure Mode/Symptom:
For example: If user has a Seagate SATA disk model ST375064ONS connected to SAS/SATA controller, the BIOS shows ATA ST375064ONS instead of the customer expected Seagate ST375064ONS.
Solution/Workaround:
None. This is normal.
Additional Comments:
SATA drives shown with "ATA" in front is following the SAT standard. The BIOS displays whatever SCSI inquiry data is received from the drive.
The displayed information is expected behavior; it's not a bug.
