How to Perform Filecruiser Backup and Restore

Filecruiser provides backup solution from one Filecruiser Hardware to another Filecruiser Hardware to make sure your data is always be safe.

1) Backup/Restore: Backup and Restore Service at Major Site

System configuration data and user data are backed up firstly to the second Filecruiser hardware which is situated in a remote site.

Once the first Filecruiser hardware is back in service mode,the system configuration data and user data are restored back to the first Filecruiser hardware which is currently the major site

The first Filecruiser hardware takes on the role to provide the services and all the services are recovered.

2) Backup/Restore: Backup and Restore Service at Remote Site

Firstly,the System configuration data and user data are backed up to the second Filecruiser hardware.

The second Filecruiser hardware at remote site restores the system configuration and user data which has already been backed up from the first Filecruiser hardware locally at major site in case the first Filecruiser hardware is out of service mode.

The second Filecruiser hardware takes on the role to provide the services and all the services are recovered at remote site.

Major Notices while performing the FileCruiser Backup and Restore

Filecruiser can provide user data backup function to another Filecruiser Hardware.
The Filecruiser backup hardware needs to have enough free capacity if it is needed to restore the backup data onto the backup hardware.
If the Filecruiser backup hardware does not have enough capacity, it will need to be restored back to the original Filecruiser hardware or additional storage can be added to restore the user data.
