How to Change or Reset Your Apollo Password

Method 1: Change Password via Settings

Log in to Apollo.
Go to "Settings."
Select "Change Password."
Enter your current password and set a new one.
Save the changes.

Method 2: Reset Password via "Recover Password" Option

If you forgot your password, follow these steps:

Go to the Apollo login page.
Click on "Recover Password."
Enter your registered email address (must be unchanged).
Follow the reset instructions sent to your email.

Note for macOS Users

Apollo may also appear on your Mac login screen. If available, you can access password recovery directly from there.

I. Creating Proxy Folder on Apollo Cloud for Collaboritive Use

1. Open the Apollo Cloud Application.
2. Create a folder on the Apollo with the naming convention of your choice.
2A. The folder can be created by the Administrator of the Apollo or any of the Apollo Members that are registered on the device.
3. In this example, the folder Proxies will be created using one of the member's accounts (EDITOR1).

4. Once you've created the folder, you should share this folder with the members that need to access this media.
4A. Right click on the folder that you created and click Info.

4B. Provide the desired members Read and Write Permissions.
4C. If your users only require Read Access, then set the Permission to Read.

5. Click Done once you've established Permissions for your Apollo Members.
6. Your assigned Apollo Members will now have access to the Proxies folder that was created on Step 3.

EDITOR2 has Read and Write Access:

II. Configure Sync/Watch Folder for Proxy Media

1. Click the gear and select Selective Sync
2. Select the Proxies Folder to be synchronized locally on your macOS host.
2A. Currently, we only support local sync folders (Startup Disk for your macOS Host)
3. Set the local folder to a directory on your macOS host.
4. Click the checkmark next to the folder you want to sync and click Save.
Note: You will see the root of the directory tree start with shared displaying the folders that were shared with that user. The Apollo Member that created the folder originally, will not have this folder under their shared directory tree.

5. Verify that your sync folder was created in the local path that you selected in step 4.

6. An editor can transcode/copy a proxy media file from their high-resolution file from their Pegasus to their local Apollo sync folder; so that authorized Apollo Members can review and comment on this content.
6A. The Apollo Utility will automatically sync the files that were written/copied to this directory to the Apollo Device.

III. Commenting on Proxy Media (Example with iOS and macOS using the Apollo App)

Can the Apollo Personal Cloud be used to stream Music and Video through an Apple Airport Express or any similar device?

The Apple Airport Express is just a peripheral that utilizes an Ethernet cable to connect to your existing router or switch to create a wireless access point that provides Wi-Fi connectivity to all your devices.
In addition, there is no correlation between an Apple Airport Express and the Apollo's interoperability of supporting music or video streaming.

The Apollo Cloud requires the following prerequisites in order to establish a successful deployment:

1. The Apollo Cloud device must be connected to the Internet.
2. All your devices must be connected to the Internet through Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
3. All your devices must have the Apollo application installed.

If the prerequisites above have been properly established, users will be able to stream music and video content from their Apollo Cloud unit on iOS and Android devices.

Note: The Apollo application in Mac OS X and Windows can only support video streaming and playback; however, it does not support playback for music.

Does Apollo support iCloud?

Due to a limitation set by Apple for third party applications, your Apollo cannot sync your photos and videos directly with iCloud. However, you can keep copies of these files on both iCloud as well as Apollo. If you sync your Camera Roll with Apollo, your files will not be deleted even if you delete them from your iOS device. You can access the Apollo directly and delete these files if necessary.

Additionally, Apollo can directly access files stored on your iCloud drive. Simply select the “+ Add Content” function from your Apollo Cloud App, then “Add Document” and finally choose iCloud Drive. You will then be able to select which document you would like to copy to your Apollo:

How do I use Time Machine with Apollo Cloud?

To enable Time Machine functionality with Apollo Cloud, you must first make sure the device firmware is 0.01.0000.92 or above AND your Mac Apollo Cloud App is software version 1.1.1.0 or above.

Your Apollo Cloud should be automatically detected by Time Machine. Please select your device under Available Disks.
You will then be prompted for a username and password. If you are the owner of the Apollo, your username will be "Admin". If you are a member of the Apollo, you can determine your username by selecting "Time Machine Status" from the Apollo drop-down menu:
